French Minister for Higher Education and Research Sylvie Retailleau visited the campus of Institut Polytechnique de Paris on Friday, September 1. She visited the Drahi X-Novation Center, the École Polytechnique incubator, and Télécom Paris. Also, the Minister met with students, PhD students, researchers, teachers and entrepreneurs from IP Paris and its 5 member schools.

Camille Duprat, a professor at the Ecole Polytechnique and researcher at the Hydrodynamics Laboratory (LadHyX*), was awarded the ERC Consolidator grant in 2023 for her ElCapiTex research project.

A team from the Optics and Biosciences Laboratory (LOB*) has developed an original approach combining second harmonic generation microscopy and polarimetry to image the lamellar microstructure of human corneas. These results have been published in the journal Light: Science and Applications.

A gene known to be mutated in gynecological tumors has been identified as a major regulator of cell migration persistence. The product of this gene enables the cell to repeat an elementary migration step. This study, published in Nature Communications, uncovers a previously unknown alternative migration machinery.
