The Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) made a powerful impression at VivaTech 2025, bringing three days of vibrant engagement, innovation showcases, and meaningful dialogue between startups, researchers, and institutional leaders.
A look back at Vivatech 2025

Day 1: Innovation in Action

From the outset, IP Paris stood out with a dynamic stand in Hall 1 (D41), where 24 cutting-edge startups—incubated at X-Novation Center, Incubateur Télécom Paris, IMT Starter, or founded by alumni—presented breakthrough technologies.
Thierry Coulhon, President of IP Paris, appeared on BFM TV with startups Tinental and Galeio to highlight the strength of the institute’s deeptech ecosystem. Meanwhile, Laura Chaubard, Director General of École Polytechnique, took to the Purple Stage to share how IP Paris is translating AI research into industrial applications with partners like Groupe SNCF.
The Hi! PARIS Center welcomed strategic partner VINCI and hosted a pitch by Executive Director Vincent Rapp on AI’s societal impact. Finally, the launch of IPParisConnexion with Bouygues Telecom marked a major step in forging research-industry partnerships on key challenges like sustainability and inclusion.

Day 2: Ecosystem and Influence

Day 2 saw the visit of Marc Ferracci, French Minister for Industry and Energy, who met with ARCHISMART SOLAR, a startup accelerating the energy transition in real estate.
The CIEDS took the spotlight with a dedicated session on defense and security innovation, joined by deeptech startup Galeio.
Institutional support was strong, with visits from Valérie Pécresse (President of Région Île-de-France), Grégoire de Lasteyrie, Bruno Bonnell (France 2030), and CNRS leadership—all recognizing IP Paris as a pillar of the region’s innovation ecosystem.
The E4H interdisciplinary center showcased medical deeptech advances, and Télécom SudParis celebrated emerging cybersecurity talent through the 202CR_TF Challenge awards.

Day 3: Science Meets the Future

Twelve new startups joined the stand, including DIGI'SKIN, Copilex, VRAI-Heart, and others at the intersection of healthtech, quantum, and immersive tech.
The day featured a highlight talk by Nobel laureate Alain Aspect, Professor at École Polytechnique, who explored the frontiers of quantum physics.
On the Discovery Stage, Alex Fabrigoule of Liveo unveiled a new VR headset experience, combining immersive tech and health innovation.

Day 4: Education at the Core

The final day, open to the public, placed education at the heart of the IP Paris experience.
The stand welcomed two distinguished visitors: Élisabeth Borne, former Prime Minister and current Minister of National Education, and Clara Chappaz, Minister Delegate for AI and Digital Affairs. Guided by IP Paris President Thierry Coulhon, they explored how startups like DIGI'SKIN and VRAI-Heart connect health innovation with academic excellence.
Hani Hamzeh, Dean of the Graduate School, represented IP Paris’ educational programs—from Masters to PhD Tracks—emphasizing how interdisciplinary learning prepares students to lead in a fast-changing world.
Throughout the day, the public engaged with IP Paris startups, discovering the unique model that blends research, entrepreneurship, and world-class training.

Looking Ahead

VivaTech 2025 confirmed IP Paris as a driving force in deeptech, AI, health, cybersecurity, and sustainability—with education and research as its foundation. Through bold innovation, strategic partnerships, and a thriving ecosystem, IP Paris continues to shape science, business, and society for the future.
