Focus on CERES: a CIEDS project to tackle cyberattacks

In a world where information systems are ubiquitous, defining and guaranteeing their security properties are major challenges. However, their increasing complexity and dependence on components that are often poorly controlled make it difficult to achieve these objectives. This is the context for the CERES (Cybersecurity Evaluation in Realistic Environments) project, led by Grégory Blanc, a lecturer and researcher at Télécom SudParis within the SAMOVAR laboratory, which is funded by the Defence Innovation Agency via the Interdisciplinary Centre for Defence and Security Studies (CIEDS).

Cybersecurity: searching for hardware vulnerabilities

Pascal Cotret is associate professor at ENSTA's Laboratory of Information, Communication, and Knowledge Sciences and Technologies (Lab-STICC*). Through his work, he establishes secure hardware environments for software development on embedded platforms. To do this, he dissects open-source electronic components to better understand them, find flaws, and make any necessary corrections. In doing so, he paves the way for numerous industrial applications, particularly in defense. He presented his work at the IP Paris Cybersecurity and Defense Meetings on October 21, 2025.
