IP Paris Research Day 2024

On Thursday, 19th September, 2024, IP Paris held its 3rd Research Day, an annual event organized by a committee of researchers and doctoral students. This initiative brings together the scientific community to offer an overview of the research being carried out in IP Paris laboratories. This year's program featured 20 speakers from various fields, all united around the theme of light. Nearly 160 participants attended the event, including the inaugural lecture by Pierre Agostini, Professor Emeritus at the Ohio State University and 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics.

The European Research Council is supporting the projects of Carlota Andres, theoretical physicist at Center for Theoretical Physics* (CPHT) and Julien Combe, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Ecole polytechnique and researcher at Center for Reasearch in Economics and Statistics** (CREST). with ERC Starting Grants supported by the École Polytechnique. Baptiste Bourboulon appointed Director General of Services at IP Paris

Baptiste Bourboulon was appointed Director General of Services at Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) on July 29,2024, by decree of the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and the Minister of Armed forces, on the proposal of Thierry Coulhon, IP Paris' Chairman of the Management Board. He took up his new position on September 2, 2024. His role is to manage and organize IP Paris’ administrative, financial and technical services.

IP Paris wins a call for expressions of interest to train experts in floating wind turbines

Named OFFWIND, the Master's program dedicated to floating wind power presented by Institut Polytechnique de Paris was awarded the Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir (CMA) call for expressions of interest launched by France 2030. The program, supported by ENSTA Paris and École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC), two member schools of the Institute, and ENSTA Bretagne, has been awarded a contribution of 5.7 million euros. It should welcome its first students at the beginning of 2025 academic year.
