Mathematics and Applications Program
| Master | 2 Years - 120 ECTS |
| Course Start | September |
| Languages | English / French |
| Location | Palaiseau and Orsay |
Description
The Mathematics and Applications program is designed for students interested in the mathematical sciences, including pure and applied mathematics, and their connections to scientific computing and data science. Positioned at the crossroads of physics and life sciences, the program is strongly oriented toward research, industry, and R&D.
The first year, students can choose between two tracks (Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics) allowing students to follow a pathway aligned with their intended area of specialization later in the program. The second year focuses on more advanced topics across various fields of mathematical sciences. This program is a joint initiative of mathematicians from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) and Université Paris-Saclay.
For students aiming to pursue a PhD after their master’s degree, the program is affiliated with two PhD track programs for early research immersion: one in Mathematics and another in Data & Artificial Intelligence. These PhD track programs offer excellence scholarships and registration fee waivers.
