25 scale-ups, either incubated by IP Paris or founded by alumni of its member schools, are featured in the new French Tech Next40/120 selection, which highlights the 120 most promising French Tech startups (FT120). On July 9, 2025, in London, during the State Visit of the President of the French Republic to the United Kingdom, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, HEC Paris, Université Paris-Saclay, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge officially launched an unprecedented Franco-British strategic partnership in the field of artificial intelligence: the Entente CordIAle Paris-Saclay – Oxford-Cambridge AI Initiative.

How can cultural heritage become accessible to everyone, beyond museum walls? The ICON – Immersion Culturelle Online Numérique – project offers an answer by creating immersive, online museum experiences. Selected by the French Ministry of Culture as part of the France 2030 plan, ICON is one of the 20 laureates unveiled at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Led by immersive tech company Manzalab, the project brings together two schools from Institut Polytechnique de Paris: École Polytechnique and Télécom SudParis.

On June 25, 2025 the Paris-Saclay Conurbation Authority, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris and Paris-Saclay University launched a groundbreaking initiative: the creation of France’s first Territorial Ethics and Scientific Committee. This partnership places ethics, scientific rigor, and the public interest at the heart of public decision-making, with the aim of establishing Paris-Saclay as a leading territory in governance and sustainable transformation.

At the Mechanics and Interfaces Laboratory (LMI) at ENSTA, a bone distractor activated by a magnetic field is being developed. This innovative device enables jaw lengthening while significantly reducing suffering and pain. The technology was awarded the 2024 Prize by the Fondation des Gueules Cassées, an organisation born out of the association Les Gueules Cassées, founded in 1921 to support soldiers disfigured during the First World War. On October 21, 2025 Institut Polytechnique de Paris will host the first edition at École Polytechnique of its annual Cybersecurity and Defense Conference, in partnership with the Interdisciplinary Defense and Security Center (CIEDS) supported by the French Ministry of Defense, the Defense Innovation Agency (AID) and the IHEDN Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty Chair (High National Defense Studies Institute) thanks to its Endowment Fund.

The IP Paris Research Day will be held on December 1, 2025 at Télécom Paris. This year, the scientific community will come together to celebrate the integration of École nationale des ponts et chaussées into IP Paris, focused on the theme: “Numerical Modeling and Ecological Transition.” This event will bring together researchers, PhD students, and technical staff from all member schools to showcase the research conducted within the IP Paris laboratories and to promote interdisciplinary exchange.

On May 27, 2025 during the PhD Graduation Ceremony, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris honored students who distinguished themselves through the quality of their doctoral work and the significant contributions they made in their respective fields of research.

On June 17, 2025 at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, Thierry Coulhon, Chairman of the Management Board of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, shared the latest developments of the ASC Chair in Complex Systems Architecture. He was joined by Patrick Aufort, Director of the French Defense Innovation Agency, Jean-Marc Gasparini, Executive Vice-President of Programs at Dassault Aviation, and Laura Chaubard, Director General of École Polytechnique.
