This event organized by a committee of PhD students offers a unique chance to explore the diverse research themes of the IP Paris Biology labs, including LOB, BIOC, and LadHyX. From optics to biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology, molecular biology, biomechanics, bioinformatics, and more, you will hear IP Paris’ Biology PhD students tell their science stories.

This series of seminars is designed to bring together the community of researchers at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) working in any way on the subject of antimicrobial resistance. Supported by Defense Innovation Agency, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Defence and Security (CIEDS) is pleased to announce the launch of the "Distributed Intelligence" challenge, 2024 Edition, as well as its presentation session. This challenge is a simulation-based drone swarm programming competition, on topics with real impact!

Solenne Gaucher, a post-doctoral student at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST*) affiliated to the École polytechnique, and Madeleine Kubasch, a doctoral student at the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP **) of the École polytechnique, are among the 35 Jeunes Talents France L'Oréal-Unesco 2024 Pour les Femmes et la Science winners.

Supported by the French Defence Innovation Agency, the Interdisciplinary Center for Defence and Security Studies (CIEDS) is pleased to announce the launch of its call for projects, Wave 2025 - Projects 2025. The aim of this call for projects is to fund ambitious research projects targeting Defence & Security applications, which can be carried out in collaboration with academic or industrial partners.

On Thursday, 19th September, 2024, IP Paris held its 3rd Research Day, an annual event organized by a committee of researchers and doctoral students. This initiative brings together the scientific community to offer an overview of the research being carried out in IP Paris laboratories. This year's program featured 20 speakers from various fields, all united around the theme of light. Nearly 160 participants attended the event, including the inaugural lecture by Pierre Agostini, Professor Emeritus at the Ohio State University and 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics.

The European Research Council is supporting the projects of Carlota Andres, theoretical physicist at Center for Theoretical Physics* (CPHT) and Julien Combe, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Ecole polytechnique and researcher at Center for Reasearch in Economics and Statistics** (CREST). with ERC Starting Grants supported by the École Polytechnique. Through this scheme, the European Union helps young researchers to launch their own projects, train their teams and pursue their most promising ideas.

Baptiste Bourboulon was appointed Director General of Services at Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) on July 29,2024, by decree of the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and the Minister of Armed forces, on the proposal of Thierry Coulhon, IP Paris' Chairman of the Management Board. He took up his new position on September 2, 2024. His role is to manage and organize IP Paris’ administrative, financial and technical services.
