WHY ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM?

Asset n° 1

Benefit from lectures and project supervision provided by specialist professors and industry experts

Asset n°2

Conduct a project and lab work

Asset n°3

Develop excellent technical and scientific skills in computer science through a wide array of courses

This first-year Master’s program offers students an initiation in to industrial and academic research, so they acquire strong practical and theoretical knowledge in computer science and networking. The broad range of courses gives students the opportunity to develop excellent technical and scientific skills. The lectures and project supervision are given by distinguished world-class professors and experts in related fields.

The program enables students to acquire the necessary background in computer science and networks to pursue a second year of specialization at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Laboratory time and projects offer students the opportunity to practice and understand concepts more easily.

Objectives

This first-year program enables students to:

  • Master formal techniques for communicating network analysis including new tools to model and analyze complex (future) networks
  • Become familiar with software engineering techniques to compute, improve and grasp the subtleties of developing distributed networks
  • Acquire the necessary background knowledge in computer science and networks to pursue a second-year program at IP Paris

The graduates of M1 Computer Science for Networks (CSN) are invited to continue their studies in M2 CSN, respectively, to successfully obtain a Master's degree in the area of Computer Science for Networks.

After completing the second year of the Master, students will be able to:

  • Occupy research and engineering positions in the fields of modelling and analyzing complex networks, as well as distributed computing for advanced communicating systems
  • Work for key industry players in positions relating to networking
  • Pursue a PhD at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, another leading university or research center
