First milestone in the transformation of IP Paris

20 Dec. 2023
On December 1, Thierry Coulhon, acting Chairman of the Board of Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) since September 27, 2023, presented his first report to French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. This note is the result of the president's concerted work with the directors of the IP Paris member schools, and his many meetings with the administrative and academic staff, students and partners of IP Paris. These discussions will continue, and a second, more operationally-oriented strategic note will be issued in the first quarter 2024.
First milestone in the transformation of IP Paris

Institut Polytechnique de Paris is evolving, guided by an ambitious vision and fundamental principles. The mission statement issued to the acting president by the French Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, the Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu and the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, Bruno Le Maire, underlines the desire to make IP Paris a world-class institution, comparable to EPFL, Caltech, MIT and Technion.

The result of two months of intensive work with all IP Paris stakeholders, this preliminary report unveils the guiding principles for delivering on this ambition, within the framework of IP Paris' Contract of Objectives and Performance 2022-2026 and the observations of the International Scientific Committee (ISAB)
