IP Paris holds the 46th position in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2025 listing the best universities in the world. IP Paris maintains its 10th spot globally in terms of the reputation of its graduates among employers and climbs to 31st place for employment outcomes.
Christopher Cripps appointed Vice-President for Europe and International Affairs of IP Paris
Christopher Cripps will soon join the Institut Polytechnique de Paris as Vice-President for Europe and International Affairs. His mission: to contribute to making IP Paris a global benchmark for French scientific and technological excellence through a strategy developed with its five member schools. He will take his new position on 1st June.
Antimicrobial resistance: prevention for a better cure
While the poorly controlled use of antibiotics contributes to antibiotic resistance, infection prevention and diagnostic aids are levers for taking action against this phenomenon. At the Laboratory of Condensed Matter for Physics (PMC*), Anne Chantal Gouget specializes in modifying the surface properties of materials. Her work is applied to the development of innovative techniques for pathogen detection and identification, as well as antimicrobial surfaces to combat nosocomial diseases.
