On Thursday, 19th September, 2024, IP Paris held its 3rd Research Day, an annual event organized by a committee of researchers and doctoral students. This initiative brings together the scientific community to offer an overview of the research being carried out in IP Paris laboratories. This year's program featured 20 speakers from various fields, all united around the theme of light. Nearly 160 participants attended the event, including the inaugural lecture by Pierre Agostini, Professor Emeritus at the Ohio State University and 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics.

The European Research Council is supporting the projects of Carlota Andres, theoretical physicist at Center for Theoretical Physics* (CPHT) and Julien Combe, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Ecole polytechnique and researcher at Center for Reasearch in Economics and Statistics** (CREST). with ERC Starting Grants supported by the École Polytechnique. Through this scheme, the European Union helps young researchers to launch their own projects, train their teams and pursue their most promising ideas.

Baptiste Bourboulon was appointed Director General of Services at Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) on July 29,2024, by decree of the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and the Minister of Armed forces, on the proposal of Thierry Coulhon, IP Paris' Chairman of the Management Board. He took up his new position on September 2, 2024. His role is to manage and organize IP Paris’ administrative, financial and technical services.

Each year, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris rewards students who have distinguished themselves by the quality of their doctoral work and the significant contributions they have made to their respective fields of research.

Named OFFWIND, the Master's program dedicated to floating wind power presented by Institut Polytechnique de Paris was awarded the Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir (CMA) call for expressions of interest launched by France 2030. The program, supported by ENSTA Paris and École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC), two member schools of the Institute, and ENSTA Bretagne, has been awarded a contribution of 5.7 million euros. It should welcome its first students at the beginning of 2025 academic year.

Institut Polytechnique de Paris has adopted a new governance structure, designed to serve its scientific and international ambitions, and integrates a sixth member school, École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC). This institutional organization, ratified by a decree published on Tuesday July 16, is part of the reforms announced on September 26, 2023 by IP Paris' two supervisory bodies, the Minister of the Armed Forces and the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial Sovereignty.

The Engineering for Health (E4H) interdisciplinary center is organising the third edition of its annual forum on November 6, 2024 at the EDF Lab Paris Saclay. The aim of this event is to highlight current research projects in the field of life sciences and to bring together researchers, medical doctors, engineers, startups and industry to encourage new interactions.

Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) was awarded both the QS Employability Champions Recognition Award and the QS Award for Excellence in Global Engagement at the recent QS Higher Ed Summit Europe held in Barcelona from July 10th to 12th. The Institute also ranked 23rd in the latest QS World University Rankings: Europe 2025 among 685 Higher Education institutions (9th in Western Europe) and maintains its 2nd spot in France.

Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) is pleased to announce the launch of the sixth edition of its "Prématuration IP Paris" call for projects, an initiative aimed at identifying and supporting innovative projects. This call for projects has two main objectives: to specify the relevant application and to achieve an initial proof of concept.

On June 19, Institut Polytechnique de Paris joined the Udice alliance, which promotes French higher education and research establishments in all their missions at national, European, and international levels. Its participation strengthens the association, which now has 13 members.
