Second edition of the International Day of Francophonie at IP Paris

As part of the French Language and Francophonie (French-speaking Communities) World Week, IP Paris' International Center for French Language and Culture is organizing an International Francophonie Day on March 19, 2024, from 1pm to 6pm at École Polytechnique. With a special guest, French-Algerian writer Kamel Daoud.
Second edition of the International Day of Francophonie at IP Paris

Four months ahead of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, the 29th edition of the French Language and Francophonie Week takes place from March 16 to March 24, 2024. The week celebrates French people and sport under the theme "On the podium". 

The International Center for French Language and Culture at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, in collaboration with the Department of Languages and Cultures at École Polytechnique, is also organizing an International Day of the Francophonie on March 19, with the theme "Diversity, Climate and the Francophonie".

On this occasion, the IP Paris Center of French language will welcome Kamel Daoud, Franco-Algerian columnist and writer, author of "Meursault, contre-enquête", and winner of the Prix Goncourt for Best 1st Novel in 2015. Kamel will hold a conference entitled "L'insulaire et l'écriture". 

Several lecturers from ENS Lyon, ENSTA-Paris and Sciences Po Paris will also be taking part in this event, as will IP Paris students invited to participate in workshops, read their texts and present their work. 

The event is free and open to all.
