Save the date : IP Paris research Day 2025

26 Jun. 2025
The IP Paris Scientific Day will take place on December 2, 2025. This year, the scientific community will come together to celebrate the integration of École des Ponts into IP Paris, focused on the theme: “Numerical Modeling and Ecological Transition.” This event will bring together researchers, PhD students, and technical staff from all member schools to showcase the research conducted within the IP Paris laboratories and to promote interdisciplinary exchange.

Abstratc

The ecological transition raises formidable challenges for engineers across many fields: energy, transportation, infrastructure, urban planning, and more. The IPCC bases its assessments on models of climate evolution. Numerical modeling therefore plays a fundamental role in this context, but it also raises important questions—for example, regarding the validity of models under new climatic conditions, and the energy cost of these models, especially when they rely on the use of very large datasets.

Annual theme

For the fourth year, the scientific community of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris will come together around the theme Numerical Modeling and Ecological Transition, with a program featuring plenary lectures, mini-symposia, and individual presentations during a poster session.

This annual event aims to:

  • explore interdisciplinary research topics related to the chosen theme,

  • highlight scientific results and their impact,

  • encourage exchange and the development of collaborations among researchers.
