14 Deeptech Projects Winners of the 2023 Prémat’ Call for Projects
Over the course of five editions, a total of 45 projects from IP Paris's laboratories have been funded (amounting to a total of 3 million euros). These projects span a diverse range of fields including materials physics, MedTech, Energy & Environment, as well as numerous digital topics such as Networks, 5G, and AI.
Thanks to the AAP Prémat', nearly 12 start-ups have emerged based on the winning projects (among them: RunBlind, Amphitrite, Konatus and Plasana).
The fifth edition selected 14 winning projects with a total funding of 984,000 euros.
Here are the 14 winners of the fifth edition:
Project | Project Holder | Field | Description |
ARTIST2 | Stephan Clémençon, Télécom Paris | AI | The project aims to complete the development of a scoring software and automatic bias detection/correction service, based on AI research. |
CaRD - Cartographies R&D |
Didier LEBERT, ENSTA Paris | Decision Support Software | A solution for mapping the organization of technical knowledge at the scale of research centers, companies, industries, and territories to perform diagnostics and facilitate strategic decision-making. |
CATHAPLAS | Thierry Dufour, École Polytechnique | MedTech | The project developed a device for treating tumors of the biliary tract. |
ClaDyVers | Xavier Boutillon, École Polytechnique | Other | The digital avatars of organs and harpsichords do not well render their touch: the project consists of developing digital organ and harpsichord keyboards. |
DEUB | Antigoni ALEXANDROU, École Polytechnique | MedTech | A process for the ultra-sensitive detection of biomarkers and pathogens using luminescent nanoparticle-based probes. |
DynColor | Amal Dev PARAKKAT, Télécom Paris | Other | The project develops software to help artists optimize the colorization of 2D animation films. |
Fiber-socket | Fabien SZMYTKA, ENSTA Paris | MedTech | The project aims to improve the performance of athletes with tibial amputations by developing an instrumented sleeve that measures pressure, shocks, and friction at the stump-prosthesis interface. |
Gloc-Indoor | Nel SAMAMA, Télécom SudParis | Embedded Systems | The project aims to optimize the management of material and/or people flows by integrating a complete geolocation and data transmission system in an autonomous lighting and safety beacon. |
Imag2 Visionerves | Pietro GORI, Télécom Paris | MedTech | The project aims to optimize a software for rapid and automatic 3D modeling of the peripheral nervous system and organs of the abdominopelvic region to assist surgeons in planning their interventions and anticipating possible nerve damage. |
INFO3D | Daniel WEISZ-PATRAULT, École Polytechnique | Materials | The invention consists of a procedure for implanting optical fibers in the mass of 3D printed metallic structures, which then allows for thermal and mechanical measurements of an industrial part with complex geometry. |
LASEM | Alexandre TANGUY, École Polytechnique | Materials | The LASEM project aims to develop a coupling of a continuous wave laser with a Scanning Electron Microscope for optimizing the treatment and in-situ surface modification of materials. |
Microstamp | Julie DIANI, École Polytechnique | Materials | The project develops stamps with relevant patterns to be applied on the surface of materials, optimizing the measurement of deformations by image correlation during mechanical tests. |
SIFASOL | Sylvain CROS, École Polytechnique | Energy | The project's technology involves predicting the electrical production at a fine temporal scale of one or more photovoltaic plants using observations of the cloud layer by geostationary meteorological satellite images and machine learning algorithms. |
SWEEP | Reda MOHELLEBI, Télécom Paris |
5G - Embedded Systems | The invention aims to optimize wireless power transfer (WPT) and RF energy harvesting, to support the deployment of 5G networks. |
