The Institut Polytechnique de Paris alumni network draws on those of Ecole Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis. 21 IP Paris startups at VivaTech 2022

Join the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) for the 6th edition of Viva Technology, Europe's largest startup and tech event, from June 15 to 18, 2022 on booth C48. IP Paris will be presenting 21 startups from its three incubators: Drahi-X Novation Center, Télécom Paris Incubator and IMT Starter and/or founded by alumni of its five schools: École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis. IP Paris will also present a workshop "Tech the Challenge for Society" on Friday, 17 June - 10:30 am at the Workshop Blue area in the VivaTech fair (Porte de Versailles).

CIEDS - Interdisciplinary Centre for Defence and Security

In a world where new technologies play a predominant role, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) created the CIEDS in 2021 to imagine and develop answers to the technological needs of the Defence sector. The CIEDS benefits from strong support from the French ministère des Armées and the Agence de l’Innovation de Défense. It focuses on the key scientific areas of IP Paris in terms of research, training, and innovation to promote a broad consideration of defence-related issues.

Inauguration of the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster with IP Paris

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster, announced by the French President Emmanuel Macron, in June 2021, is now organized as an association, whose purpose and ambitions were presented at Gustave Roussy Hospital, in the presence of Olivier Véran, Minister of Solidarity and Health, Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and representatives of the five founding members: Sanofi, Gustave Roussy, Inserm, Institut Polytechnique de Paris and Université Paris-Saclay.

HERACLES³: the first joint laboratory on intense lasers of IP Paris

Institut Polytechnique de Paris, CNRS and Thales have signed today a partnership for the creation of a joint laboratory for research and development of intense lasers. The HERACLES³ laboratory (Hautes Energies pour la Recherche en ACcélération Laser d'Electrons et Sources Secondaires à Saclay) aims to develop cutting-edge technologies based on intense lasers, with the potential for major industrial, medical and scientific applications.

For its first participation, Institut Polytechnique de Paris has made a strong entry, up to the 43rd place in the Times Higher Education (THE) world’s most international universities ranking 2022 . An infrared LED based on nanocrystals

A team of researchers from six French laboratories, including the Laboratoire d'optique appliquée (Applied Optics Laboratory LOA*, has just published an article in Nature Photonics on a world first : the realization of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) based on nanocrystals emitting in the mid-infrared, a spectral range in which no efficient source was available until now.
