Operation CIEDS is back in 2024! A day on defence and security
Created in March 2021 by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, the CIEDS interdisciplinary centre is working to meet the major scientific and technological challenges facing the defence sector. It is involved in research, training and innovation to promote a broad consideration of defence-related issues.
Operation CIEDS is a one-day event bringing together players in science, innovation and industry to find out how IP Paris is involved in major defence issues.
After the 2023 edition and its 230 participants, Operation CIEDS is back in 2024!

Highlights of the day:
9am-12.30pm: Plenary session & round tables
Round Table 1: People at the heart of defence systems - Preparation, performance and care
Round Table 2: Major maritime challenges - Exploration, control and strategic autonomy
12.30-3pm: Discussions based on posters, partner stands, new projects and buffet
3pm-5pm: Thematic workshops
1. Communications and system security
2. Artificial intelligence and robotics
3. The challenges of materials in defence
4. Sovereignty and defence strategy, the role of IP Paris
5pm-6pm: Poster prizes awarded by public vote and closing address
