What technologies to drive the transition towards a sustainable and inclusive world ?

This annual event aims to explore the links between technological innovation, applications in the industry and society adoption and reception of technologies in order to explore new pathways towards rethinking methods and approaches, and to map the possibilities for developing « virtuous » technologies capable of inducing sustainable change.

By repositioning technological and social innovation at the heart of citizen debate, these days will offer a platform for dialogue and rapid response to face the major societal and environmental challenges of the 21st century: climate change, depletion of natural resources, ongoing social, cultural, health and economic inequalities.

This annual event is an open invitation to all experts, scientists, professionnals, managers and citizens wishing to discuss and get involved in the co-development of modern and responsible technologies that go beyond a « technological fix » approach. 

This first edition will be dedicated to providing answers to the current pressing issues of: health, environmental protection and conservation, inclusion & low technologies, sustainable computing, disruptive technologies and industries of the future.

Opening Conference

Date: April 4th, 2022.
Location: Abbé Grégoire Amphithéâtre, Conservatoire national des arts et métiers - Cnam, Paris.

The Technology for Change Days’ inaugural conference will take place on April 4th, 2022 from 1: 30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (Cnam) in Paris. This opening conference is open to a wide audience and is organized around panels and keynotes. It aims to investigate the role played by technologies, "deep tech" in particular, in the field of health, employment and preservation of natural resources. It will also examine the impact of digital technologies and explore the fundamental role played by research in the design of tools and applications to meet sustainable development goals.

Practical Workshops Day

Date: April 5th, 2022.
Location: Station F & Accenture Innovation Hub, Paris.
Audience: Companies, entrepreneurs and decision-makers.
Language: English & French.

Day two will be devoted to workshops for companies, entrepreneurs and decision-makers. These workshops will be conducted by the Chair’s researchers who will present the tools designed and will provide the practical grounding needed to help leaders and entrepreneurs accompany and drive change.

Academic day: interdisciplinarity in building innovative and virtuous technologies

Location: Campus of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (École Polytechnique), Palaiseau.

The third and last day will take place on the 6th of April on the campus of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris and will be devoted to presentations of the research projects in conjunction with the research activities of the Chair.
