With strong support from the Defence Innovation Agency, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Defence and Security Studies (CIEDS) and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Seas and Ocean (CIMO) are launching their new calls for proposals. The aim is to fund ambitious defence and security-oriented projects within the laboratories of Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), with the possibility of working in collaboration with academic or industrial partners. Selected projects will commence in October 2027.

The expert committee of the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) has issued a unanimously favorable opinion on Institut Polytechnique de Paris exiting its experimental status and transforming into a "grand établissement" (public institution of higher education and research). This marks major recognition of the progress made by IP Paris and its six member Schools since 2019.
