Among the 35 early-career women researchers recognised by the 2026 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science France Young Talents Award, nine have ties to Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) and its member schools. Three are currently conducting research in laboratories at École polytechnique, while six are former students or doctoral researchers at École polytechnique or École nationale des ponts et chaussées. This recognition highlights the scientific excellence of women researchers who have studied or pursued research at IP Paris member schools.

The Swarm Rescue Challenge is a competition in which participants programme simulated drone swarms to tackle high-impact challenges. Organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Defence and Security Studies (CIEDS) and the Defence Ministry’s Agency for Artificial Intelligence (AMIAD), with the support of the Defence Innovation Agency, it is open to all students from schools that are members of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, as well as students from institutions overseen by the French Ministry for the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs.
