I am delighted and honoured to take on the leadership of ENSAE Paris. My ambition is to champion excellence in our education and research, strengthen the School’s place within IP Paris, and help shape the response to societal, technological and environmental change.
Élise Coudin appointed Director of ENSAE Paris, a founding member of IP Paris
Turning data into knowledge and informed decisions is one of ENSAE Paris’s key contributions to IP Paris. By bringing together applied mathematics, data science, economics and social sciences, the School strengthens the Institute’s education and research in addressing major societal challenges.
As Director, Élise Coudin will guide the development of the School’s programmes and research in response to advances in artificial intelligence and data science, alongside wider economic and societal changes. Her work will support IP Paris’s shared ambitions, drawing on the expertise of the Centre for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST), a joint research unit of Groupe ENSAE-ENSAI, CNRS and École Polytechnique.
An ENSAE Paris graduate with a PhD in economics, Élise Coudin brings extensive experience across higher education, research and public service. Previously Director of Studies at the School and a researcher at CREST, she has also led Insee’s data science innovation lab and Inserm’s Centre for Epidemiology on Medical Causes of Death.
