Last month, the French Tech Mission unveiled the seventh edition of the French Tech Next40/120, the flagship programme supporting France's fastest-growing technology companies. This year, 31 companies connected to Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) are among the 120 selected scale-ups. Founded, co-founded or led by alumni of the Institute's member schools, or supported by its incubators, they account for more than one quarter of the French Tech 120 (FT120) cohort. Of these, 15 have been selected for the Next40, representing more than one third of the companies in this category and highlighting the ability of the IP Paris ecosystem to nurture technology leaders with global ambitions.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Institut Polytechnique de Paris hosted the interuniversity final of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition. Safa Gharbi, a PhD candidate at the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films (LPICM), won first prize, as well as the People's Choice Award and, new this year, the Middle Schoolers' Award. Linnéa Strandberg, a PhD candidate from Université Paris-Saclay, was awarded second prize.

On June 24, 2026, ENSTA, a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, inaugurated a unique air-sea experimental tank on its Brest campus. Particularly innovative in its design, it allows for the testing of cooperation between drones and marine observation systems, while eliminating the risks inherent to initial trials on the high seas. Each year, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris presents its dissertation awards to doctoral students who have distinguished themselves through the quality of their work and the significant contributions they have made in their respective fields of research. Ten students received awards at the doctoral graduation ceremony on April 28.
