Solveig Aamlid: Decoding the Disorder in High-Entropy Oxides

Solveig Aamlid is a Tenure-Track assistant professor recruited by École Polytechnique with the support of the interdisciplinary center Materials for Society (M4S)**, and a member of the Laboratory of Condensed Matter for Physics (PMC*). Her highly fundamental research focuses on the study and synthesis of materials known as high-entropy oxides, with a particular emphasis on the significant disorder they exhibit at the atomic scale. The researcher explores this specific characteristic, which exerts a major influence on the functionalities of these materials.
