3rd place for IP Paris in the national final of the Ma Thèse en 180 secondes competition

On Wednesday June 5, the national final of the Ma Thèse en 180 secondes scientific mediation competition took place in Nice. Elie Kadoche, an IP Paris doctoral student, won 3rd prize from the jury.

The winners of the jury prizes, as well as the public and high school prizes, were : 

  • Wendy Le Mouëllic (Toulouse University), first prize from the jury with her thesis topic: “Characterization of sulfur acquisition pathways and cysteine biosynthesis in Mycobacterium tuberculosis during infection”. 
  • Mélyne Baudin Marie (Nantes University), second prize from the jury for her thesis: “Synthesis of Multivalent Enzyme Sialidase Inhibitors for the treatment of Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (CIBD)”.
  • Elie Kadoche (Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Télécom Paris, LTCI laboratory), third prize from the jury for his thesis “Development of control algorithms based on multi-agent reinforcement learning for the optimization of large-scale wind farms”.
  • Public's Choice Award: Aïcha Loïal (West Indies University), for her thesis “Understanding the behavioral plasticity of Aedes aegypti populations to improve monitoring and vector control”.
  • High School Prize: Seyta Ley-Ngardigal (Bordeaux University), for her thesis “Molecular mechanisms of the toxicity of glycemic overload on the skin”.
