Strengthened Governance to Accelerate Strategic Corporate Partnerships

To boost the development of corporate partnerships and strengthen the Institute's impact in research, innovation, and education, the Executive Board of IP Paris has decided to evolve its governance for this strategic function. This new organization aims to provide additional momentum to relations with economic actors, building on the historical ties of member schools with businesses, the dynamic driven by IP Paris's interdisciplinary centers - true catalysts for collaboration between academic research and the industrial world - as well as the École Polytechnique Foundation, which serves as a structuring lever for partnership development and fundraising.

The The Administration Board thus wished to separate the roles of Vice President for Corporate Relations and Director of Corporate Development and Partnerships, in order to closely link strategic partnership management, dialogue with companies and schools, and the operational management of the department's activities. Within this framework, Sylvaine Neveu continues her role as Director of Corporate Development and Partnerships, with responsibility for operational management and the development of the department's activities.

A Recognized Expert in Bridging Research and Corporate Sectors

A graduate engineer from Centrale Nantes and trained in organizational transformation strategy at École Polytechnique, Jacques Pinget has over thirty years of experience at the interface of higher education, research, innovation, and the economic sector.

His career has led him to hold leadership positions within major innovation and technology transfer organizations. Notably, he served as President of Lutech, the Technology Transfer Acceleration Company (SATT) of the Sorbonne University Alliance, where he led a major strategic and organizational turnaround while contributing to the development of the national research commercialization ecosystem. He also created and directed the Innovation Foundation of the Université de Technologie de Compiègne - a French public higher education and research institution specialized in science, engineering, and technology - mobilizing several major industrial groups around research, education, and entrepreneurship projects.

Since 2024, Jacques Pinget has advised and supported higher education and research institutions, research organizations, and innovation players on issues of research commercialization, technology transfer, and the development of strategic partnerships with corporations.

His deep understanding of the academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial worlds, alongside his recognized experience in creating strategic alliances, developing long-term partnerships, fundraising, and research commercialization, represent major assets to support the ambitions of IP Paris.

In a context where collaborations between academic research and corporations are more critical than ever to address major scientific, technological, and industrial challenges, IP Paris has chosen to strengthen this strategic function. The experience gained by Jacques Pinget in developing corporate partnerships, creating strategic alliances, and mobilizing private funding will help accelerate the momentum initiated by IP Paris with its economic partners.
