Bouygues, first partner to join the "IP Paris Connexion" programme launched by Institut Polytechnique de Paris to speed up innovation

11 June 2025 - At VivaTech, the two partners will be announcing an innovative collaboration to bring the worlds of business and academia closer together on a long-term basis to boost training, research and innovation.

Signed for a renewable period of three years, this agreement aims to encourage the emergence of high-impact training, research and innovation projects that are meaningful and address the major socio-economic challenges of today and tomorrow.

This partnership is the first to be set up by Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) as part of its "IP Paris Connexion" programme, which aims to facilitate and develop links between academic research and industry.

The aim is to open the doors of its ecosystem to businesses, encourage the emergence of joint R&D projects, promote technology transfer and train the talents of tomorrow.
By joining the "IP Paris Connexion" programme, Bouygues and its subsidiaries will enjoy privileged access to the scientific and technological ecosystem of the six leading academic institutions that make up IP Paris, namely École Polytechnique, ENSTA, École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (ENPC), ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis.

The "IP Paris Connexion" programme includes identifying which IP Paris scientific, technological and events activities are relevant to the partner, collaboration opportunities with start-ups incubated at IP Paris, facilitated contacts with research laboratories, meetings with leading researchers, and executive education programmes.

Following on from its ongoing partnerships with leading academic institutions such as MIT and EPFL, this is further proof of the Bouygues group’s desire to ramp up innovation in support of the green transition, new technologies and the skills of tomorrow.
