The M1 - BME track provides students with research-intensive training in the application of the physical and engineering sciences to the life sciences, medicine, and health. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in engineering, physical sciences, or applied mathematics and a true desire to contribute to the ongoing revolutionary changes in the life sciences and medicine.
Objectives
- Benefit from a high level of specialization in the rapidly growing field of biomedical engineering
- Conduct research in a stimulating learning environment
- Communicate with participants from different domains of life science (researchers, engineers, clinicians)
The BME Master has received funding from the French National Research Agency (ANR) through the following grant mechanisms of the France 2030 plan :

Admission requirements
Academic prerequisites & degree
- Completion of the first year of Master's program (M1) in engineering, physics or applied mathematics at Institut Polytechnique de Paris or equivalent in France or abroad
- No prior training in biology is required
Language prerequisites
English language proficiency (minimum B2 level or equivalent).
