Morphoscope - Photonic Microscopy

Thematics : Confocal microscopy, structured illumination microscopy, multiphoton microscopy |
Morphoscope is a technological innovation platform for photonic imaging of living organisms. It offers its expertise and state-of-the-art equipment for cell and tissue imaging and data analysis. Initiated by an Equipex project and hosted at the Laboratory of Optics and Biosciences (LOB) in Palaiseau, the platform is supported by the Advanced Microscopies and Tissue Physiology team, which brings together skills in optics, instrumentation, applied mathematics and developmental biology. The platform is distinguished by its expertise in multiphoton imaging and its ability to carry out technological and methodological development projects in imaging. The development axes are based on three complementary aspects: thick tissue imaging, rapid imaging and super-resolution imaging. The instruments operated and developed include multiphoton microscopes for fluorescence imaging (two- and three-photon excitation) and harmonic generation (SHG, THG), a microscope integrating a vibratome for imaging large volumes by serial sections, light sheet microscopes, super-resolution systems, and image storage and processing facilities. |
