New edition of the Fête de la science at Institut Polytechnique de Paris

École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC) will open the doors of its campus and science village in Champs-sur-Marne (77) from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 10th, for an immersive look into the heart of research. For one afternoon, ENPC's scientific community and students will offer a range of booths, workshops, demonstrations, and tours centered around the Saveurs savantes theme and beyond. On the agenda: understanding the mechanics of mayonnaise, gas marbles used in cooking, 3D food printing, environmental science, and much more. Please note that spots are limited; registration will be available on-site starting at 2:00 PM.

Fun programming

In Palaiseau, École polytechnique — in partnership with Télécom SudParis, Inria, and the CNRS — invites visitors to discover the ingredients behind scientific research. While the national theme explores what our food looks like under a microscope, how physics and chemistry come into play in the kitchen, or how to maintain a sustainable diet in a changing climate, visitors will also explore other scientific fields such as digital health and AI (Télécom SudParis's Samovar laboratory), particle physics, mathematics, and more. IP Paris’s Spiral interdisciplinary center will also offer a distinct approach to scientific exploration through immersive experiences, virtual reality, debates, workshops, as well as board and video games. It features fun programming for all ages at the intersection of science, imagination, research, and art! Join us at 1:30 PM at the Bâtiment des enseignements mutualisés (BEM).
