Jacqueline Bloch receives the CNRS gold medal 2026

Jacqueline Bloch is a professor and lecturer at École Polytechnique and a CNRS research director at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N), a joint research unit of CNRS and Université Paris-Saclay. Also a member of the French Academy of Sciences, she receives this gold medal, the highest distinction of the CNRS and one of the most prestigious French scientific awards. She is notably recognized for her fundamental research work dedicated to polaritons, hybrid particles resulting from the coupling between light and matter.
