Celebrate Science Day at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

08 Sep. 2025
This year, the Science Festival explores the many facets of intelligence. On October 4 and 11, 2025, two schools from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris will open their doors to young and old alike for an immersion into this theme and science in the broadest sense.
Celebrate Science Day at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris
See you on October 4 and 11 at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris for the Science Festival.

In Palaiseau, on Saturday, October 4, starting at 1:30 p.m., meet numerous researchers, engineers, and doctoral students at interactive booths in the main hall of École Polytechnique and discover the fascinating world of research. You will discover and experiment with the École Polytechnique's student space center, plasmas, artificial intelligence applied to health, and even a course dedicated to quantum physics. Learn about artificial intelligence (AI), neural networks, and many other topics through a series of conferences. You can also take part in tours of the School's laboratories (registration required, places are filling up fast!) and explore the world of scientists and their work. The more adventurous can take on the challenge of a scientific Escape Game, and two new exhibitions on AI and Alan Turing will be on offer to visitors.

On Saturday, October 11, the festivities will take place in Champs-sur-Marne, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC), alongside ENSG-Géomatique. Explore the science village set up by ENPC and quench your thirst for knowledge on artificial intelligence, the environment, water, plastic pollution, superconductivity, waves, sustainable construction, and many other topics. Three workshops on the theme of intelligence will also be held during the day. Take advantage of your visit to ENPC to tour some of its laboratories. You will see how scientists recreate waves, see inside materials, and even examine raindrops.

An “Outside the Walls” program is also offered from October 6 to 10, as well as a day dedicated to schoolchildren on October 10 as part of the Cordées de la Réussite initiative.
