Schneider Electric renews its support for Hi! PARIS to accelerate AI research and train the next generation of talent
Hi! PARIS is the interdisciplinary center dedicated to artificial intelligence and data science, founded by Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) and HEC Paris, later joined by Inria. The center brings together a large community of researchers and students, supports long-term research projects, and develops internationally recognized training and innovation programs. Recently awarded the national IA-Cluster label as part of the France 2030 initiative, Hi! PARIS has established itself as a leading actor in AI research in France and Europe.
The renewal of Schneider Electric’s patronage comes at a time of strong growth for the center: 19 research chairs, 50 collaborative projects, several dozen funded PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers, and more than 430 publications in top international venues. Schneider Electric’s support has already contributed significantly to this momentum.
A new research chair dedicated to AI and energy
At the heart of this new phase, Schneider Electric will fund an open research chair focused on developing AI models capable of processing and integrating heterogeneous data (time series, tabular data, text, IoT signals). This work addresses major challenges related to electrification, smart grid management, and the broader energy transition.
Training the talents of tomorrow
The patronage also supports the development of Hi! PARIS educational programs. Interactions between Schneider Electric and students—through Career Fairs, Boot Camps, Summer Schools and more—have already reached over 1,500 young people. The partnership will significantly increase the number of students trained in AI and data science, strengthen doctoral support, and expand opportunities for internships and research collaborations aligned with IA-Cluster priorities.
Sharing knowledge and strengthening scientific visibility
Schneider Electric’s renewed support will further boost the Hi! PARIS Initiatives, a program that brings together researchers, industry partners, and public stakeholders around reports, analyses, and events addressing major AI-related societal challenges. This collaboration contributes to reinforcing the center’s role as a key platform connecting research, industry, and society.
This renewed partnership marks a new step in the cooperation between Schneider Electric and Hi! PARIS, with concrete actions designed to support research, education, and the dissemination of knowledge in artificial intelligence.
