A committee to shed light on public action and foresee upcoming challenges

The Paris-Saclay Territorial Ethics and Scientific Committee is designed to support political leaders, policymakers in shaping public policies that are both innovative and responsible. It draws on independent, multidisciplinary expertise to:

  • Anticipate scientific, technological, environmental, and social transformations;
  • Inform key operational decisions on critical issues such as resource management, access to essential services, ecological transitions, data governance, and artificial intelligence;
  • Ensure the integrity, transparency, and public acceptance of projects;
  • Strengthen the region’s scientific and technological sovereignty;
  • Foster dialogue between research, innovation, and public policy to guide structural transformation.

In the face of today’s major challenges, higher education and research institutions have a duty to inform, to innovate, and to share knowledge. This committee demonstrates Paris-Saclay’s ability to bring together top talent and build a world-class center of excellence—aligned with France’s sovereign interests and open to the world.” Thierry Coulhon, Chaiman of the Management Board of IP Paris.
