20 Jul. 2023
Institut Polytechnique de Paris announces the launch of the fourth edition of the call for projects "Prematuration", offering a unique opportunity for researchers and innovators to turn their promising ideas into innovative projects. The main aim of this call for projects is to clarify the relevant application of these projects and to achieve an initial proof of concept.
Call for projects "Prematuration IP Paris": Transform your research into tomorrow's innovations

The importance of prematurity for the development of innovation

Innovation generally stems from research results, such as technical solutions, software, materials, processes, molecules, devices, databases and much more. However, these results need to be consolidated and aligned with market expectations. It's at this crucial stage that the call for projects "Prematuration" comes into play, focusing on matching inventions to market needs. Supporting this key stage is the priority of this call for projects.

Timetable and submission procedures

Applications will open on June 27, 2023. Technology Transfer Office (TTO) should contact you before September 15, 2022, while the deadline for submitting applications to IP Paris is September 29. An in-person pitch is compulsory and will take place on October 17 on the campus of Palaiseau. The results will be announced by early December 2023 at the latest, with a possible project start date of January 1, 2024.

The budget allocated to each selected project will not exceed 80,000 euros, enabling these promising initiatives to receive financial support.

Coordinated support from IP Paris and TTOs to accelerate innovative projects

Winners of this call for projects will benefit from specific support, orchestrated in close collaboration between IP Paris and TTOs to which they belong. This synergetic approach aims to initiate a value-adding process, highlighting projects in the context of technology transfer or the creation of innovative companies.

A point of contact for your projects

To submit your project or obtain further information, you can contact your TTO. We have provided a framework note to help you identify the precise contact for your laboratory, as well as the pre-application and application documents you need to submit.
