The PhD Track in Computer Science is for students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics. It offers a combination of courses, personal projects, and research work — leading to a doctorate after 5 years. Students can specialize in all areas of computer science (as given by the master’s programs): Cybersecurity, Cyber-physical Systems, Distributed and Parallel Systems, Networks, Operational Research, Artificial Intelligence and Data, Computer Science human-machine interfaces, Foundations of Computer Science, or High Performance Data Analytics.
The PhD track in Computer Science involves all IP Paris research laboratories: the LTCI of Telecom Paris, LIX and CMAP of Polytechnique, U2IS and UMA of ENSTA, and SAMOVAR of Telecom SudParis. It also involves all associated research institutes, such as INRIA Saclay, CEA and CNRS, and the industrial laboratories in the immediate vicinity (EDF, Thalès, Nokia). It brings together numerous research teams in computer science, each of which is internationally renowned in its field. These teams have very close links with the industrial and institutional players in this discipline in France, in Europe, and in the world (United States, China, Brazil, etc.).
