Energy4Climate :

tackle the challenges of the energy transition through a collective approach !

The main challenges of energy policies call for interdisciplinary research efforts and training programs to provide state of the art solutions that can be quickly replicated by the energy sector industries and supported by the public authorities.

Our ambition is to establish the E4C Institute to the highest level of excellence among the world leaders in energy science and innovation, thanks to interdisciplinary research involving different areas of knowledge from the social and economic sciences to materials and engineering sciences, applied mathematics and computer science to geophysics.

The objective of E4C is to address the challenges of the 4 pilars of the energy policies, allowing for a systemic analysis of the bottlenecks of the energy transition :

  • decrease GHG emissions, with a main focus on decarbonisation of energy supply;
  • improve the potential of energy efficiency and demand flexibility to decrease energy consumption in buildings and industries;
  • dynamically manage and control variable energy distribution through smartgrids;
  • determine the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, social feasibility and sustainability of the proposed technical solutions, for saving energy and reducing carbon emissions.

E4C implements excellent research and educational programs of both national and international visibilities which translate in high level of competence and knowledge of students towards strong benefits to the socio-economic world. E4C is also the bedrock of tomorrow’s energy innovation.
